He graduated in chemistry at the University of Veszprém; he worked as an engineer in Merseburg, in GDR until 1984. In 1984 he returned to Hungary and worked as an economic journalist and editor of a provincial newspaper. From 1985 he was the correspondence for Hungarian News Agency in Szeged. In 1989 he left Hungary to settle down in Germany, at the beginning he worked as a washer-up and a dispatch rider. In 1992 he founded a book publisher in Halle an der Saale and in 1999 published his own photo album entitled Die Junggesellen. Die letzten ungarischen Pusztabauern (text by Matthias Rüb).
